    Great topic OP, mine was the Green J10 my dad had, young me, my dad, and our two dogs (one Doberman, one German Shepherd)all sitting on the bench seat. We also had a CJ7 and I remember sitting on the rear wheel well instead of the back seat to get a better view

  8. Overheating - but maybe not?

    For anyone still searching for their issues, mine was the oil cooler. It was leaking at both the oil and the coolant. No coolant got into the actual oil, so I was lucky. All fixed and back on the road.

    To OP, did you ever get this fixed? Mine started doing that to me today. 74k miles 3.6 Auto. at 61 degrees in stop and go traffic it started acting up, once the traffic cleared it was fine. the fan has been running super loud lately even when coolant temps are in the 190 range

    Just found out that my timing cover is also leaking, go figure.
  12. Drivers door handle proximity function not working

    My driver door just stopped working recently. Passenger proximity works fine. So do both remote fobs. I guess I need to check the wires with the meter and see if that is the issue.

    Definitely not worth $3k. But that’s what they charge. I got mine used, waited months for a white one, but as soon as it appeared on marketplace I grabbed it. Saved a ton.

    I bought these a few years ago and forgot that I even installed them. I even tried creating a complaint to the NHTSA and never heard back since I almost killed a bicyclist when it fell in my fov. I never hit the biker. All is good

    Here is an update. I went with an AC Delco battery similar to the Amazon link from above.     FWIW the Jeep AutoNation Southwest (Littleton CO) just quoted me $1200 for both battery changes. Haha, I guess I’m going the genesis route.

    Just a PSA for those of you in cooler climates. At just over 5 years old and 65k miles my battery finally died. I knew it was coming as the ESS stopped working a few months ago. Luckily I was home when it happened. I hit the start button and nothing. Volts are at 11.5 and accessories still...
