  1. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

That’s ok, half our hockey players aren’t Canadian either. We’ll be ok.
  2. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

Look at the bright side, you could move to Canada, not be smog tested and me as a neighbour!
  3. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

You can. I’ve driven over 1500 kms one time without the PS when the pump tanked while on a trip from Alberta to BC then back again. It was no fun on 285/70/17’s. Forget it if you’re running 35’s or larger.
  4. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

That was nearly my discussion with my service advisor today. Her phone is lit up with people panicking… She had no idea what the fix will be and I’d probably get a letter sometime in July, until then, I won’t be loosing any sleep.
  5. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

Well, I made the list! I think the other million + should post here when they find out too!
  6. Intermittent whine shifting from 1-2 gear when warm 180dg+

Quite consistent. I would know the exact throttle pressure to create it and if that pressure was less, I wouldn’t hear it. Long inclines caused 4th gear whine to sound louder. If I was on a flat and leaned heavier in 3rd then lighter in 4th, I wouldn’t hear it. 1st and 2nd…. couldn’t get out of...
  7. Intermittent whine shifting from 1-2 gear when warm 180dg+

The whine thing is puzzling. All 5 of my transmissions whined. I had 4 transmissions with my 21 JTR and still have it in the factory one with my 23 JTR. The 21: Factory transmission whined at highway speeds at 24k kms and analysis showed wear metals were catastrophic and oil contaminated with...
  8. 2023 Auto Gladiator Mojave Hard Reverse Shift

I’m surprised at your reply, …how would I say it,..less warranty rigid as we all know you to be. So either you’ve crossed the floor from the dark side or you’re baiting him into a trap. Insiders don’t usually sing one tune, then turn around and sing something else unless there’s something in it...
  9. 2023 Auto Gladiator Mojave Hard Reverse Shift

Grab a carpenter’s level, 3 or 4 feet long and place it on the bottom side of the frame to level front to back and then place it across the top of your bumpers to level side to side.
  10. 2023 Auto Gladiator Mojave Hard Reverse Shift

You have a delay then hard shift. … Ive not experienced that in all 5 transmissions from the 21 and 23 JTR. I’ve not had delays but if the truck is on some sort of incline/decline and it’s parked with the vehicle weight on the park, engaging out of park would cause noise.
  11. 2023 Auto Gladiator Mojave Hard Reverse Shift

The temp window to check fluid level is 90-122F. If the plug was uncomfortable and hard to touch, it’s completely normal for oil to be flowing out the fill hole while engine is running. That fluid expands and even if fluid was levelled properly anywhere in the temp window, if the transmission is...
  12. 2023 Auto Gladiator Mojave Hard Reverse Shift

Needing some info would really help out here. 1. What temp was the transmission when you pulled the plug and oil came out? 2. Did you level frame before pulling plug? 3. Whats your milage and has there been any service work done on it previously?
  13. I’ve read not to F with the engine…

Well here’s something you’ll never hear, except you’ll hear it now,… always preheat your engine before you start it. This apparently is the secret to million mile engines. Question is, will the rest of the truck keep up?🧐 Humour me and watch the video. There’s other videos with lab analysis to...
  14. Lifetime Tires

That’s what the sales guy said! https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1AFgYmpFtK/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  15. First oil change 3.6 2026 Mojave 1196 mi

Don’t throw those out. Keep a running record.
  16. Cheap Gas Kills Your Engine

You’re talking about the direct injection system, yes? I heard a good maintenance practice is to walnut blast them at 50k miles.
  17. Cheap Gas Kills Your Engine

You’re talking about direct injection, yes? I’ve heard that it’s a good maintenance practice to have those valves walnut blasted at 50k miles.
  18. Anyone tried seat jackers?

Hahaha,...as I was writing about the washers and bolts, i had that thought in the back of my head that said, 'someones going to ask about the specs'! You didn't disappoint. Those washers and bolts are still in my 21 JTR and it was written off last November. I was able to take every mod off of...
  19. Anyone tried seat jackers?

I didn’t go with Jackers, I went with several washers and longer bolt for a fraction of the cost. It does the same thing for way cheaper. I did have to go to a bolt supply place for the right thread and extra bolt length.
  20. Cheap Gas Kills Your Engine

We can take comfort in knowing we have port injection and not direct injection. Here’s what our valves look like for having gas wash over them. I was changing out my spark plugs at 60k kms and took these pics.
