You can. Iāve driven over 1500 kms one time without the PS when the pump tanked while on a trip from Alberta to BC then back again. It was no fun on 285/70/17ās. Forget it if youāre running 35ās or larger.
That was nearly my discussion with my service advisor today. Her phone is lit up with people panicking⦠She had no idea what the fix will be and Iād probably get a letter sometime in July, until then, I wonāt be loosing any sleep.
Quite consistent. I would know the exact throttle pressure to create it and if that pressure was less, I wouldnāt hear it. Long inclines caused 4th gear whine to sound louder. If I was on a flat and leaned heavier in 3rd then lighter in 4th, I wouldnāt hear it.
1st and 2ndā¦. couldnāt get out of...
The whine thing is puzzling. All 5 of my transmissions whined.
I had 4 transmissions with my 21 JTR and still have it in the factory one with my 23 JTR.
The 21:
Factory transmission whined at highway speeds at 24k kms and analysis showed wear metals were catastrophic and oil contaminated with...
Iām surprised at your reply, ā¦how would I say it,..less warranty rigid as we all know you to be. So either youāve crossed the floor from the dark side or youāre baiting him into a trap. Insiders donāt usually sing one tune, then turn around and sing something else unless thereās something in it...
Grab a carpenterās level, 3 or 4 feet long and place it on the bottom side of the frame to level front to back and then place it across the top of your bumpers to level side to side.
You have a delay then hard shift. ⦠Ive not experienced that in all 5 transmissions from the 21 and 23 JTR. Iāve not had delays but if the truck is on some sort of incline/decline and itās parked with the vehicle weight on the park, engaging out of park would cause noise.
The temp window to check fluid level is 90-122F. If the plug was uncomfortable and hard to touch, itās completely normal for oil to be flowing out the fill hole while engine is running. That fluid expands and even if fluid was levelled properly anywhere in the temp window, if the transmission is...
Needing some info would really help out here.
1. What temp was the transmission when you pulled the plug and oil came out?
2. Did you level frame before pulling plug?
3. Whats your milage and has there been any service work done on it previously?
Well hereās something youāll never hear, except youāll hear it now,⦠always preheat your engine before you start it. This apparently is the secret to million mile engines. Question is, will the rest of the truck keep up?š§
Humour me and watch the video. Thereās other videos with lab analysis to...
Hahaha,...as I was writing about the washers and bolts, i had that thought in the back of my head that said, 'someones going to ask about the specs'! You didn't disappoint.
Those washers and bolts are still in my 21 JTR and it was written off last November. I was able to take every mod off of...
I didnāt go with Jackers, I went with several washers and longer bolt for a fraction of the cost. It does the same thing for way cheaper. I did have to go to a bolt supply place for the right thread and extra bolt length.
We can take comfort in knowing we have port injection and not direct injection. Hereās what our valves look like for having gas wash over them. I was changing out my spark plugs at 60k kms and took these pics.
