It is the connector at the PS Pump. On the 3.6, remove the airbox and you will see the connector on the PS Pump directly under it.
You can also see it from underneath the vehicle, but you'll need an inspection mirror to see the top side of the plug.
Helpful hint: remove the airbox as a...
It will be interesting to see if they publish inspection / replacement instructions like they have done for some other recalls. I despise going to the dealership.
This connection at the PS Pump can easily be inspected. Pop out the airbox and you can get right to it. You can also see & reach...
Just wondering ... What oil & weight did you use and how often did you change the oil?
Also, how often did you run higher rpm (above 3000) to put the oil pump into high pressure mode? There has been some talk over on BITOG that these engines need regular high rpm to get fresh oil to the top of...
Yup. I did mine.
It was a real PITA to do because of the limited space, and it took a bit of trial & error to get the hose to drain where I wanted it to.
I used a short piece of silicone hose to a 90-degree elbow to a longer piece of hose. I then used a bracket to keep the end of the hose...
There are also other reasons for getting the 'service ... system' message that are completely unrelated to the condition of the batteries.
I got the exact same message on the dash as the OP when the hood switch went bad.
So, also check the hood switch that is in the stop/start system. One is...
Funny, my buddy at work just sent me pictures showing the same thing with his Gen 1 Raptor. Then I saw a bunch of people posting the same thing on FB. Apparently, it is exhaust condensation combined with road salt dripping onto the snow.
That ground is a PITA to get to with the air box installed. I was able to get a box end wrench down in there and tighten it up a little. It wasn't loose, but it certainly wasn't fully tightened.
I've driven classic cars with no power steering (and a few with no 1/2 synchros) for over 53 years as well. I still have one in my garage with no power steering and no power brakes.
What you are missing is that manual steering is WAY different than power steering with a failed pump. And this...
2021 JT Mojave, 3.6 gas, AT, 45900 miles, no drivetrain or steering system modifications.
Yesterday I had a scary experience on the highway when my electric power steering (EPS) stopped working. The JT was completely up to temperature, had been cruising at about 70-73mph, and all of a sudden I...
