"Full" length bed topper?

Perhaps a silly idea, but it would be really cool to see a bed topper with a roof that extends above the rear seats all the way to the roll bar. I'm thinking one that would replace the rear hard top section so there would be no window at all between the bed and cab. Effectively making the gladiator like an extra long 4 door wrangler. Am I missing an obvious reason why this might be a dumb idea?

The wrangler body is one piece from front to back. So the hardtop has continuous attachment points. The cab is separate from the bed on a Gladiator. Flex between the two would present a challenge.

I'm actually thinking about a high quality rubber flex joint between the two. Like what truck mudflaps are made of.

agreed on the flexibility issue. could have a loose joint of sorts between the 2 roofs with a slight overlap and a flexible gasket type thing between the 2. or an accordion-stile rubber joint.

would be great to have continuous access from the bed to the cab. perhaps for hauling longer lumber, or road trips with the dogs in the back. if even the rear window was removable from the rear roof hard top, that'd be a pretty nice plus
