For any industry to ever plan and count on always increasing sales is pretty dumb. It's not like an endless supply of people with endless cash can keep buying a new truck year after year. A better model would be more emphasis being placed on the brand as a whole for repeat customers - which would include increasing their quality and professionalism of sales staff and technicians providing service support. I have no doubt some of this is due to an increasingly poor record of service and 'taking care' of their customers. Instead they should try to make 'family' customers, kinda like how the big 3 did back in the 70's-90's.

I hear a similar story at work. AAALLLLLLLL day long, every day. do more for less. We all have the same requirement. And when that mentality is pushed too long too hard, thats when things start to fall apart. Worker performance suffers, because why should they care? Retention goes to zero. And sometimes workers actively suggest customers turn to a competitor.

But I digress. No matter how many times this has to be preached, no matter how many failures have to exist, upper management will never understand - they're too focused on $$$ and the addiction to 'more'

I work for a company that embodies everything you said. They have been using there household name as credit card for several years off of what was once a good product. They have gotten greedy to ludicrous squared by Pi recently and disconnected with customers, moved to cheaper suppliers, and increased margins. Embraced wholesale the green ideology and dismissing what made this company. What’s worse as a field technician for this company it’s embarrassing to even have contact with the customer. They see us not local branch managers or corporate at all. Have to answer the questions everyday “holy shit what’s happening over there!”.

Yeah big corporate is maddening alrighty :).

..never mind constant expansion of industry. Hb constant rate of economic growth being a central tenant of neo-classical economics (our/mine/your prevailing economics, like it or not).

Absurd!! And yet these idiots believe it is the goal.

But look let’s not beat up on economics as we know it too much after all it’s given us all a LITERALLY unlimited quality of life upgrade over that of our forebears.

And btw your country has been the most successful on the planet at this game of economics and LEADS THE WORLD (thankfully) bc of how well it’s done at said economics.

So be careful what you wish for!! (In terms of changes). They say in economics one change always has a minimum of two unintended consequences. Fyis.

Jeep just give us PHEV 2.0L T, PHEV 3.0L T, option on ALL GRADES, option of a flat light bed, steel wheels, delete chrome/leather option, drop the base being called “sport”, add a base spec “rugged pack” Cw hd springs/cooling/rear axle/payload, and finally stop referring this amazing platform as a damned “lifestyle” vehicle.

Bc not all of us are about “lifestyle”. Whatever the fk “lifestyle” is, I ain’t it.

I just like jeep trucks.

Lol It’s so true. A disgrace they used the name for that dog of car.

On the flip side the wagoneer s electric looks sharp. Good looking Jeeps always sell well. Ugly Jeeps not so much imho

Isn’t it….Trail Rated Fiat. I didn’t bother to inquire on the details but there was one where I live that had a lift and a roof rack. It gave me a nervous twitch and anxiety.
Wagoneers look tasty, pitched to my wife for here but she said absolutely not. She’s done with Jeep after a WKL she had. It was and absolute pile, super nice but a pile.

I really don't mind the looks of the Renegade. If I wanted a commuter/city vehicle which could also go off-road, it would be high on my list. It sure beats all of the egg-shaped SUVs which I cannot even differentiate.

Lol x 2.

But being electric the wag s ev might just be reliable. Who knows? It’s a freakin nice looking wagon. Hats off to jeep guys for it. Keep it up fellas.

Whereas Toyotas can be ugly and still sell well, it’s not like that here in au w Jeeps.

But if they’re good looking vehicle w a solid powertrain option like wk, they sell like hot cakes.

Sharp looking rapid Jeeps have always done well here in au.

Taste is always subjective isn’t it? Fair enough to.

I like the look of the avenger. For that purpose / commuter I’d contemplate avenger. (Is that what it’s called? The little ev etc).

I hear you re eggs and sucked caramel cars. Yes.

It’s a dear name to me personally. Renegade. It’s a jeep hero. And I find it offensive in the basis of what the renegade originally was and …still is for some. I’ve got an 84.

It's interest.

Rates being 0 for years, with the Fed doing billions in Quantative Easing a month for years, simply could not last forever.

Prime auto rates going from .9 to 9% changes the monthly payment on a car by hundreds of dollars, and it's very well known that people shop payments.

What was 6-700 a month, is now 1100 a month, so, prices are correcting.
