My JTRD just went over 20k this week. Was able to get oil and fuel filters changed before the nasty weather tonight and even more to follow next week. Fuel filter was definitely dirty. No water in the fuel at all.

Once I finished with the filter Change.... primed the pump like 10-15 times and then cranked it. Took a few seconds longer than normal but all good no lights on dash. Sent oil sample off and will post results when lab runs it. I crawled around underneath to check the suspension and confirm that the wiring harnesses on the right side are staying away from the exhaust piping/DPF. Heard a rattle I didn't recognize. The DPF hanger mount that bolts to transmission bracket has a broken weld. No exhaust leak but a extra buzz where the weld broke...

Looks like another visit to the Dealership....wonder if they will reweld or just replace the whole DPF?

More than likely they will replace it. Dealerships generally do not rework/repair parts and just go with remove and replace.

Should be a R&R. Fuckers would torch your truck or not prep it correct and would crack again w/I a week.

Too much of a liability for welding in the dealership........fuckers can barely get the right oil level, torque lug nuts or even replace a right rear axle seal w/o making it worse..

Wire brush it. Then take a burr bit and V it out. Use a 309 wire to weld with.
