Interesting. The search told me group 48 but it’s smaller. I must have a group 94

From what I recall the Mojave and Rubicon's had the larger batteries.

Pretty easy to keep track - just check voltage at rest now and then.
None-driving is a battery killer for most modern vehicles. People in a NAPA store were complaining they can't get batteries in their cars to last 4 years or more.

If you want to make them last longer, BatteryMinder will handle it (I put a tag on my door handle when it's plugged in to remind me but with this setup, it would simply pull the connections apart and do no damage) ->

@ShadowsPapa Bill can you elaborate on that plug setup? I think I'd like to do that setup.

Did you hookup pin #1 and 4 ?

My OEM original Main Battery lasted 4 years and was still going fine but I decided to change it out when my AUX battery went out for the 2 nd time. Decided to do all new for both.

I went back and swapped for the 94RPLTJ.

I didn’t want to deal with the fender clips so I went in from the top. It wasn’t bad after watching videos.

Make sure the bolts in the fuse block are all the way loose. They’re holding in the plugs underneath.

These get swapped to the new aux battery.

I must have done it right. It fires right up and runs great!

<Knocks on wood> I'm going on five years now with the factory batteries and no issues (hopes I just didn't jinx myself...).

Wife’s 2019 JL aux battery failed, swapped it out to the larger group 94, and disconnected Aux battery. Going to start/stop delete for her’s.
When hers went I decided to do the Genesis dual battery cause of my ARB fridge in bed, removed aux battery and did the stop start delete, works great.
I know I am using more gas cause of this choice but I am of the school of thought that shutting off my engine at every stop letting oil drain down for perhaps three minutes then starting then repeat, repeat and so on. I know they are millions of cars designed with it, the starters are designed to handle it , the engines are designed to handle it, I am just not designed to handle it…..Jack
